From Cebu to Bantayan Island, here’s how to reach Beach Montemar for our special day.

How to Reach Beach Montemar

✈️ Arrive in Cebu

Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB)

Once you land in Cebu, you might want to rest and recharge before continuing your journey. A great place to stay is One Central Hotel, located right in downtown. From there, you’ll be close to:

Fuente Osmeña Circle 🌸 – a popular city landmark.
SM Seaside Mall 🛍️ – one of the largest malls in the Philippines.
Temple of Leah 🏛️ – a beautiful Roman-inspired temple with scenic views.

Take a night to relax, explore a little, and then get ready for the ferry ride to Bantayan the next day. 🌴

🚌 Travel to Hagnaya Port

Hagnaya Port, San Remigio, Cebu, Philippines

It takes around 3–4 hours to reach Hagnaya Port from Cebu City. Here are your options:

Bus from Cebu North Bus Terminal
- Regular buses run from the North Bus Terminal to Hagnaya Port.
- Travel Time: ~4 hours
- Make sure to arrive early as buses follow a fixed schedule and can fill up quickly. 👉 Check bus schedules here
Private Taxi/Van
- The most convenient option, especially if traveling in a group.
- Cost: PHP 2,000–3,000
- Travel Time: ~3 hours (faster than bus since it’s direct)
Shared Taxi (V-Hire)
Available near the bus terminal, these vans/taxis are shared with other passengers.
Cost: Lower than private hire (depends on occupancy).
Travel Time: ~3–3.5 hours

Once you arrive at Hagnaya Port, head to the ticket counters. Several ferry companies operate here, but one of the most popular and reliable options is Super Shuttle Ferry – it has a nice observation deck and plenty of seating.

Ticket Purchase: Buy your ticket at the counter (cash only).
Waiting Area: After buying, you can wait inside the passenger terminal or step outside to grab some local snacks. Just don’t wander too far, as boarding can be called anytime.
Travel Time: The ferry ride takes about 1 hour. It can get a little bumpy, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the sea breeze.

🚖 Local Transfer to Beach Montemar

Once you reach Santa Fe, you can find plenty of local transport options that can take you anywhere on the island. Just make sure to convey your destination clearly.
